Patiala Police has arrested a total of 7 persons, including 4 girls, on the charge of conducting prostitution business. They include Mahi, Sangeeta, Shubham, Jaspreet Kaur, Mahakpreet Kaur, Sandeep Singh and Ranjit Singh. A case has been registered against the said seven at Lahori Gate Police Station under Section 3 and 4 of the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act.
According to the information received, Inspector Rajwinder Kaur along with the police party was present at Old Chungi Rajpura Road, Patiala. Meanwhile, it was reported that S. S. T. In Nagar, Mahi and her husband Shubham run a prostitution business and invite boys and girls from outside. Even today they have come to do the business of prostitution. The police raided the spot and arrested the said persons and started further action

ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਖਰਲੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲਾਂ 'ਚ ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਬਹਾਦਰ ਕੈਡਿਟ’ ਹੋਣ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਦੇ ਜਜ਼ਬੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਅਪਾਹਜਤ ਵੀ ਅੜਿੱਕਾ ਨਾ ਬਣ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸੰਕਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਮਾ ਕਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਜੰਡਿਆਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇੜੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਰਾਣਾ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਰਪੰਚ 'ਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਹਮਲਾਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼ਧਾਰ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਫੜਾ-ਦਫੜੀ ਮਚ ਗਈ।

ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਚਾਰ-ਪਹੀਆ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਪੁਲ, ਅਟਲ ਸੇਤੂ (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸ ਹਾਰਬਰ ਲਿੰਕ - ਐਮਟੀਐਚਐਲ) 'ਤੇ ਟੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
