Devigarh, 1st June A flag march was conducted by the police in different parts of Patiala city keeping in mind the Ghallughara day. The march conducted by the police was flagged off by ADGP Traffic AS Roy. The flag march was led by Patiala SSP Varun Sharma. On this occasion, ADGP AS Roy said that a flag march has been conducted to maintain law and order in the district. He said that no person will be allowed to disturb the peace.

Amrik, head of Damdami Taksal from Baba's house yesterday in a major action against Lakhbir Singh alias Gora Baba, who came into discussion in the case of theft of the traveling effigy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji from Kalyan Gurdwara Sahib Ardaspura located here. The Taksal and Reverence Committees under the leadership of Singh Ajnala have picked up four copies of Sri Guru Granth Sahib along with a manuscript. Apart from this, all the books and pictures of the Gurus that were in the house were also taken away. Patiala Police has arrested a total of 7 persons, including 4 girls, on the charge of conducting prostitution business. They include Mahi, Sangeeta, Shubham, Jaspreet Kaur, Mahakpreet Kaur, Sandeep Singh and Ranjit Singh.
