Patiala: Woman, paramour held for murdering husband
With the arrest of a woman and her paramour, the police today claimed to have solved the murder case of a salesman, who was working in a car company.
The police said the salesman, who has been identified as Mohammad Kasim, was murdered on Saturday night when he was on his way to his friend’s birthday party. Addressing a press conference at the Police Lines, Patiala Superintendent of Police Dr Mehtab Singh said they had recovered the car of the deceased. The car was found near Urban Estate on the Patiala-Sirhind road on Sunday morning. The car had blood stains on the rear seat which prompted the police to start the investigation. Within eight hours, the police solved the case by arresting two persons.
The police said the deceased’s wife, who has been identified as Begum Razia, along with her paramour Sukhdeep Singh, a milkman, had murdered Kasim. The police said both the accused had been arrested and the body of the deceased had been recovered from Noorkhedi village in Patiala. The accused had dumped the body at the village. According to the police, the murder was an outcome of illicit relations of the victim’s wife Razia Begum with her paramour Sukhdeep Singh. DSP Mohit Aggarwal said the relationship between the two was the motive behind the murder.
